Genentech’s corporate campus in South San Francisco houses many structures constructed by Hathaway Dinwiddie. Buildings 31, 32, and 33 occupy a central location on the Genentech campus and were constructed in three phases. The three 5-story buildings are structural steel Class A office buildings with offices, support space, conference centers, lobbies, and a high-end cafeteria, kitchen, and dining area. The buildings were designed to allow natural light into the space through large windows and skylights, which are made of high performance glass. Site improvements were also completed by Hathaway Dinwiddie, which included surface parking, landscaping, and hardscape with stone walls and lithocrete walkways. These buildings were delivered through a design/build approach.
