The Caltech Annenberg Center for Information Science Technology is a 3-story structural steel framed building housing classroom, research, and office facilities. World-renowned professors, graduate students, post-doctorate students, and researchers in the information science field are housed within the building. A 2-story central atrium, featuring a custom bamboo laser-cut wall, showcases exposed structural steel and bracing and a cantilevered lounge with a spiral staircase. Architecturally, Frederick Fisher and Partners utilized “out-of-the-box” thinking by placing wide stairways, which are simultaneously sculptural and functional, along the east and west facades to connect all levels with active social circulation.

The Annenberg Center is LEED Gold Certified.
