The Scheduler is responsible for performing tasks related to the collection and evaluation of data required to create/ monitor CPM project schedules. Apply the principles and techniques of scheduling and resource monitoring to specific project assignments. Work with the project team to demonstrate and achieve project goals.


  • Develop, draft and computerize construction schedules for assigned area of work under direct supervision.
  • Review, analyze, and adjust schedules to conform with CPM scheduling practices and current project conditions with the project team.
  • Calculate/prepare various comparison reports, charts, and tables for project analysis.
  • May draft construction schedule network. Enter data into computer, analyze and correct data.
  • Aid the development of project proposals and presentations by creating presentation schedules and scheduling graphics when needed.
  • Assist in preparing special reports, studies, etc., requested by the client and/or project management.
  • May develop schedules for small portion of the project under close supervision.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s and/or project management’s direction.

Proficiency in one or more scheduling software: MS Project, Primavera, SureTrak, and Aldergraf. Experience in the use of Excel, Word, and Outlook also required. Prior scheduling experience preferred. Basic knowledge of CPM scheduling techniques and an understanding of construction technology is necessary. An ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering with two years of experience in the construction industry is preferred.
