  • 2008 – Stanford’s Y2E2 wins “Best Green Building”
Stanford’s Yang and Yamazaki Environment and Energy Building (Y2E2) was awarded the “Best Green Building” of 2007 Award by the San Francisco Business Times. Completed in November, 2007, the 166,500 SF facility houses researchers and students in fields such as ecology, biology, and earth science. Y2E2 goes above and beyond many LEED standards by incorporating sustainable design/construction practices in a manner that provides its occupants the opportunity to research and study the cutting-edge technologies that were integrated. • 2008 - 499 Illinois/Centennial Towers Top Out
As planned, Hathaway Dinwiddie "topped out" structural steel on two major Bay Area buildings, 499 Illinois and Centennial Towers South Tower, just days apart from each other. Now that steel is complete, these structures are quite visible when driving through Mission Bay and on the 101 Freeway North of San Francisco Airport, respectively.
