Sustainable Team Resources
For building owners that are ready to fully embrace Green Building principles, the Sustainable Team’s experience with the LEED rating system can be of great assistance in achieving LEED certification quickly and economically. Any of our accredited Sustainable Team members can prepare LEED Project Checklists and develop a strategy for gaining target ratings of Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum. Furthermore, our in-house Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Department experts prepare and carry out building commissioning to meet the Energy & Atmosphere credits. Even if a client does not choose to pursue LEED certification, we can help incorporate sustainable design and construction concepts into your project to ensure that you benefit from the economic and environmental advantages of sustainable building practices. Hathaway Dinwiddie’s leaders have built a Sustainable Team made up of successful building professionals who combine thought leadership, training, education and real world experience with green building matters in general, and the LEED certification process in particular. We have mobilized our company’s efforts to pioneer the sustainable building movement, and we have in place the resources and tools to facilitate advanced green building practices. The Hathaway Dinwiddie Sustainable Team constantly trains and leads other employees within the firm to attain accreditation; on average there are as many as 20 staff members pursuing the LEED credentials at any given time. In addition, the firm supports its green work and training efforts with dedicated resources, including an internal LEED/Green Building intranet containing comprehensive LEED study manuals, LEED cost and credit studies, and other reference materials. A LEED directory on company servers provides immediate access to LEED documentation, draft submittal forms and many other written materials to support green building projects. |
